June was such an incredible month raising awareness for PTSD and helping our friends at Camp Hope! We have so many exciting milestones to share and none of it was possible without YOUR contribution and support! Our Master Enchilada Roller, Russell Ybarra, always strives to “put people first”, and we did just that.
“Every Queso Counts” Event
June 27th marks National PTSD Awareness Day. We held our “Every Queso Counts” event, where 100% of the proceeds from every queso purchased went straight to Camp Hope. Not only that but Gringo’s & Jimmy Changas also matched those sales to double the donation.
$53,825 was donated to Camp Hope from this event – THANK YOU to everyone who contributed by ordering queso for this great cause.
Plato Soldado – June
Our Plato Soldado {Soldier} is made up of Russell’s favorite Tex-Mex items – Pork Tamale, Beef Fajita Taco Al Carbon, and a Cheese Enchilada served with guacamole, rice, and beans. This is served year-round, and with each entree purchased $2 is donated to Camp Hope. We are so proud to share the final donation amount for the month of June.
Gringo’s and Jimmy Changas were able to donate $27,630 to Camp Hope
Interviews
The Gringo’s team had the opportunity to chat with some of the remarkable individuals who work for the PTSD Foundation of America, as well as a current resident, to gain more insight into their experience and learn more about the mission of Camp Hope.
The team also sat down to speak with Russell about what this partnership means to him, how it started, and more about the Plato Soldado in the video below.
